Ekonomik Yaklaşım is a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal published regularly by the Department of Economics of Gazi University in Ankara (Turkey). The journal is a refereed scientific journal since the first issue. The first issue of Ekonomik Yaklaşım journal has been published in 1980 and including last issue a total of 82 issues have been published within 23 volumes.

Ekonomik Yaklaşım journal organizes scientific congresess in every 2 years since 1999. Until now, 7 congresses has been organized. 

The 8^th Congress of Ekonomik Yaklaşım (EY) is decided to be organized as an international congress with the name of EY International Congress on Economics I.

The EY International Congress on Economics I will be held on October 24-25, 2013 in Ankara/Turkey.The main subject of the congress is determied as "Europe and Global Economic Rebalancing".
